Bhavana Lele, the famous Kathak Dancer of recent times known for her versatility was trained under the able guidance of Guru Mrs. Sanjeevani Kulkarni from Nasik. She was born in 1967 to a Maharashtrian family. She started her training at the age of 8. She holds a degree of Kathak Nritya Visharad (Purna) from Gandharva Mahavidyalaya. She has also done M.A. in Kathak from Tilak Maharashtra, Vidyapitha Pune. She is a discipile of Guru Mrs.Sanjivani Kulkarni from Nshik and is fourtunate to have special guidence from eminant personalitis like Pt.Birju Maharaj & Guru Munnalalji Shukla.
Over the years Bhavana Lele has emerged as a Kathak exponent with her mesmerizing performances applauded in India and cross borders. Intense and passionate, Bhavana Lele is sheer poetry and awe-inspiring joy transcending boundaries. Re-defining the philosophy of Kathak, she has bestowed and enriched the art form with a deeper and wider canvas of expressions.
She commenced her career as a dancer performing at various cities such as Pune, Jalgaon, Hyderabad, Indore, Tirupati, Nasik, Mumbai and Thane. She has given several solos and has also performed at Pt. Ram Marathe Sangeet Samaroh conducted by Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Natya Parishad in 2006 and 2008. She also performed at Sanskar Bharti in their Gurupurnima Utsav.She also performed at International Dance Day celebration in Pune in 2014.
